 The Obama Democratic Club of Silicon Valley (or ODCSV) is a confluence of dedicated supporters of PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA who wish to continue our advocacy of hope and change in this diverse South Bay community.Our AgendaWe are Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, Greens, Decline-to-States, drawn together by the core principle that we are the keepers of our country and we must remain vigilant to ensure a healthy future for its ideals and aspirations We will act as a hub for diverse local groups of Obama activists as they continue their hope and action from the 2008 campaign into the policymaking of a new administration. We will form a bond between anyone and everyone who wants to see the American promise extended to all people, especially those less fortunate in our own backyard. Recent NewsPresident Obama awarded Nobel Peace Prize! WASHINGTON, DC — In reacting to the news that he had won the Nobel Peace Prize, the President struck a note of humility and recognized that the award was a nod to a vision of what is to come: "Good morning. Well, this is not how I expected to wake up this morning. After I received the news, Malia walked in and said, "Daddy, you won the Nobel Peace Prize, and it is Bo's birthday!" And then Sasha added, "Plus, we have a three-day weekend coming up." So it's good to have kids to keep things in perspective. "I am both surprised and deeply humbled by the decision of the Nobel Committee.
