No modern day metropolitan life is thought to be complete without an animated and exciting nightlife. Lahore, the second largest city of Pakistan, has a lot to offer when it comes down to having fun at all the 24 hours of the day.

 By merely looking at the crowds at many different places that offer a great nightlife, one notices that this phenomenon is not limited to any specific demographics.

 People of all ages and households like to break free of the monotony and boredom of every day life that runs chronologically surrounding us all every once a while.

 The thrill obtained from the adventurous excitement of breaking rules and doing something out of the ordinary is said to give birth to a stronger feeling of liveliness and zest. To feel alive, you have to break some rules of the ‘matrix that surrounds us all’.

 Go ahead and leave home around 1 in the morning while all around you are fast asleep and the streets of the domestic domain are empty and calm symbolizing peace and serenity. Drive on a couple of deserted main roads till you reach any one of the happening places that remain open round the clock. You are likely to find a whole world of apparently inexhaustible and vibrant teenagers at the peak of their energetic presence. Talking, sharing, laughing, eating night snacks, drinking milkshakes and sipping on coffee, life really does not end at a seemingly too early midnight. In fact most of them just got started in their part of the day. Not to be frustrated by the flood of young energy in the environment, most of these youngsters have had a good nine to ten hours sleep during the day to be here at night.

 You are also likely to find many ‘elders’ having a good conversation, sharing the happenings during the day and some even sunk in serious talk revolving around business and politics. Age although a big cause to rebel against strict natural sleeping patterns, it really doesn’t have much to do with who stays up late at night and who doesn’t.

Surprisingly gender is also not a parameter for nightlife. You can easily find girls and women as actively participating with their male counterparts. Most likely you will also see all-girls groups having just as much fun. It’s not that they are there just to see what’s the fuss is about. They come there because they are a prominent part of the nightlife culture.

Nightlife has become a complete lifestyle for most of the people. While most of them are just chilling and having fun in the way they see fit, you will also find students trying to study, people trying to conduct business meetings and families trying to spend some quality time together. After being a part of such a self-indulged, variant and lively group of people, next time you will definitely have trouble sleeping as early as midnight.
