| Headlines... 2012 Golf Tornament September 16, 2012 Our 5th annual Oakridge Optimsits Charity Golf Tournament will be held on Sunday, September 16th, 2012 at Firerock Golf Club. See our Golf Tournament page for details. Oakridge Optimists Donate over $39,000.00 Last Year Our club supported youth health, safety, education and recreation by donating $39,551.00 to charities and individuals in need during the year ended September 30, 2011.
New Board of Directors Elected The membership elected a new slate of directors at our AGM on April 19, 2012. The new executive will take responsibility for the governance of the club on October 1, 2012. See the list of incoming board here.
Trivia Night The 9th Annual Trivia Night will be held on Saturday, February 2nd, 2013. More details will be posted here in the fall. Our last Trivia Night was held on February 4th, 2012. For event details visit the Trivia Night Page. Congratulations to Paul Gallivan of Kincardine who won our 50-50 prize of $1271.00. Scholarships Did you know the Oakridge Optimist Club provides bursaries to local youth graduating from St. Thomas Aquinas and Oakridge Secondary who are pursuing post-secondary education? Check out the 2012 Optimist Junior Golf Program that begins with the London District qualifier at Thames Valley Golf Course on June 29th for boys and girls aged 14 to 18 and at the same place on July 7th for boys and girls aged 10 to 14. More info on the Canadian Optimist Junior Golf site.
