Oakmont Walkers Club Home

The Oakmont Walkers Club is one of the oldest organizations in Oakmont.
Our purpose is to provide all residents of Oakmont the opportunity to participate in monthly trips, tours or events. These activities are arranged by a Board of Directors elected annually by the membership. Our trips, tours and events include our local and adjacent areas, as well as the San Francisco Bay Area, with occasional overnight trips to areas in Northern and Central California. Transportation is provided by certified bus companies.

Dining is always a highlight of our trips and tours. Lunch or Dinner arrangements are generally made in advance of a trip or tour.

Our monthly activities include an Annual Membership Meeting in January, an Annual Picnic in August and an Annual Harvest Dinner in November. In the Fall of each year, we alternate a walk of the Golden Gate Bridge or take a docent-led historical walk of a segment of San Francisco.

The Oakmont Walkers Club is governed by a Board of Directors elected annually by the membership. The Board meets monthly to administer and set policies and activities affecting the welfare of the membership. See
Board of Directors.

Membership dues are paid annually. New members pay an additional one-time fee for the purchase of a Walkers badge which is required to be worn at all Club activities. See
Membership.

Our activities are published twice-monthly in the Oakmont News.
