Details of the 2010 Oratory Competition have been finalized. As usual the competition will take place during the National Conference (14th-15th May 2010). This years topic is "What Winners Do To Win". If you wish to enter please advise your branch president. Entries are now being called for the 4th NZ Speak Easy Assn Essay Competition. Entries are welcome from all Speak Easy members, as well as anybody else with an interest in stuttering; family members, friends, workmates & speech therapists etc. The topic must be something to do with stuttering; fact or fiction. They must be a maximum of 1,000 words, not including the title & author. Entries close on the 30th April 2010. Essays will be judged by a non-Speak Easy person or persons. The winner will be announced at the 2010 National AGM in Auckland, & the winning essay will be read out to the group by as yet an unspecified person. The winner will hold the “SPIRIT OF EMILY” trophy for one year. All entries will be published in the June 2010 Air Flow magazine unless requested not to do so.
