There is a lot to think about when running an IUC Conference so here are a few resources to make use of to help you make the next conference even better than the last.
Almost all the details you need are in the Guide to running a Conference. Please make sure this document is kept up to date as it evolves. This has also been coded as a list of tasks that can be assigned. Also make sure that this is kept up to date as you notice tasks that need to be done that are not on the list.
The most important part of the conference is attracting quality presentations. A call for presentions document (for you to improve upon) can be sent out to all members. Make sure that you have edited the conference Powerpoint template and instruct the Presenters to use it. Send them the Tips for Presenters at the same time to help ensure good quality presentations. Send them a final reminder with a week to go so their presentations are received in time to be published on a Conference CD-ROM.
Organising Session Chairs helps to run a conference smoothly. Give out this Guide for Session Chairs to those who are helping here.
Make sure you include Presenter Feedback sheets like this and Summarise the Feedback for each presenter. A summary of the Conference Feedback should be collated from Conference Feedback Sheets and posted in the Conference Pages.
