I was born in England in 1936, and am a true cockney, I have been in New Zealand since 1972, had numerous jobs until I started a wholesale plant nursery in Matakana called Brookview Gardens, was there for 12 years , had to have a triple bypass so thought it was time for me to retire, couldn't take the inactivity so took up wood turning as a hobby, didn't like just turning the usual bowls and platters so branched out into something different from the norm, am self taught, have been turning for about 10 years.
