You were like a breath of fresh air,

when you came into my life.

Settling in like a beautiful night,

providing me with fragrance and respite;

Your smile that makes me go wild.

For that throaty laugh of yours,

I would barter the world for sure.

The depth and serenity of your eyes,

calms me for a while;

the purity and innocence of your mind,

struck me as your naïveté for a while.

And the ever shorter hair of yours, annoy me for sure

For when they were long,

With the wind, they would dance along,

Enforcing my heart to sing along,

But, I love you as you are,

Because, it is “You” that matters
