Jigme has been presenting ‘Tibet Burning’ at numerous universities across the country including Harvard and Stanford.
Tibetans have begun to adopt the ultimate political tool to protest China's rule in Tibet. So far, 26 Tibetans have set fire to themselves for freedom. Tens of thousands of protestors are out on the streets. The Chinese military has killed over a dozen of peaceful Tibetans and has imposed lock-down. The discussion will focus in-depth on the unprecedented wave of self-immolations taking place in Tibet and provide more insight into how the Tibetan resistance and revolution is evolving. Bring your curiosity and ideas to this discussion. · We will be doing Candlelight Virgil at Pioneer Square after the event 5.45 PM to 7.30PM
March 10th Protest
· We will gather at City Hall in downtown Portland at 10:30 am.
· And then go around town, same route as last year.
