Chapter 107 Mileage Program Starting in 2012, Chapter 107 will have a Mileage Program to track the miles we as individuals and as a chapter travel on our official chapter rides. The point of this new program is to encourage more participation and activity as well as provide so good clean fun competition! Now, to be fair and all, it has to have some rules: 1) The ride and plan must be posted to the forum, Facebook, and emailed out to all 107 members at least 7 Days in Advance. Anyone can plan or lead a ride as long as they follow the SCRC Riding Guidelines. I can't give out everyone's emails, but if you just email your plan to me, I will email it out to everyone else. 2) We will go by the mileage given by Google maps, not by odometers, so there will be no need to record anything - just be sure and let me know what the route was. If people split up after the last stop, I will count the mileage as if everyone went back to the starting point to finish, making a complete circle if that makes sense. 3) We are going to go by the honor system - We won't have any kind of sign-in sheet or anything like that, but if I am not there someone from the group just shoot me an email and let me know who all came. 4) A report of the current totals and standings will be given at each official chapter meeting. 5) All SCRC Rules and Riding Guidelines must be followed, as always. 6) If, by chance, there are multiple rides going on in one day, only the "official" chapter ride will count. 7) I reserve the right to amend these rules as needed, especially if I forgot something. :) 8) The chapter can decide how many members to recognize (top 3 or top 5 or similar) and what prizes to award them at one of our meetings. So let's get to it! Start planning some rides and have them ready for the January meeting so we can vote them in! |
