Ye Wang is a PhD student in EECS Dept. of Northwestern University, under Prof. Selim Shahriar's supervision. His current research is in development of Ultra-Low Energy Optical Switch and Quantum Frequency Converter Using Nano-Fiber Embedded In Rb Vapor, and built of fast light laser for gyroscope.
Ye received his B.S. degree in Optical Engineering from Zhejiang Univ., Hangzhou, China, and joined Laboratory for Atomic and Photonic Technology (LAPT) afterward.
Besides lab works, Ye loves snowboarding, windsurfing, roller skating, swimming, scuba diving and playing saxophone. He was one of the varsity swimming team when he was undergraduate.
