Summary

The issue of healthy food highlights the link between food consumption and health.  Over the past twenty years, industry has increasingly offered food products with health claims. In the E. U., the 1924/2006 regulation on health claims has applied since July 1st, 2007.


The aim of this first NUTREATING symposium is:

·        to increase the mandatory dialogue between consumers, regulatory, industry and research, in order to analyse the trends and future of food with health claim.

·        to provide an overview of the up-to-date research on consumer motivation and understanding of food with health claim.
