1. Where does the membership funds goes to ?
Almost all of the membership funds goes into paying the coach, whatever little money that is left would be used to fund club activities for the benefit of everyone: such as freshmen welcome tea, after competition steamboat celebrations, first aid kit replenishment.
 
2. What must every beginner learn first about Judo?
How to fall (ukemi) properly and the rules of safety and courtesy.
 
3. What are the main methods of Judo training or practice?
Kata: formal exercise.
Uchi komi: repetitive throwing practice. 
Randori: free practice. 
Shiai: contest
 
4. How often are gradings conducted ?
Gradings are now done by the coach up to Blue Belt (2nd kyu) level, and there would be a grading conducted approximately 3 times a year.
Grading for brown belt (1st Kyu) onwards are done at the SJF (Singapore Judo Fedaration)
 
5. Due to various other commitments such as schoolwork, i am only able to attend one of the training dates is that ok ?
Yes ! Absolutely =) Only thing is that your progress might be slower than other members thats all.
 
6. How is CCA points allocated if i join Judo ?
The current scheme is such that members of any clubs and socities do not get any CCA points. Only EXCO members would be allocated CCA points.
However, if you come for regular trainings and represent NUS in the annual Inter Tertiary Judo Competition, the captain would be able to go secure lodging in school at ridge view residences(RVR) as 100 places at RVR has been pre-allocated to teamNUS atheletes, so that they would be able to concentrate on training with their respective sports and not be bothered about how to get CCA points.
