As we all know and have seen there has been a terrible tragedy in Haiti.  Haiti was ill equipped to deal with such a fate and they will be in need of medical care and assistance for the foreseeable future.

As ER nurses we are best trained to deal with the immediate urgent care need.  Together as a group we have decided to go to Haiti through the Jenkins-Penn Haitian Relief Organization.

This group was founded by actor Sean Penn and philanthropist Diana Jenkins and will allow us to get to the people in need of dire urgent medical care.  The organization provides us everything we need once in country, but in order to make sure as much money as possible gets directly to the people they ask their volunteers to provide their own:

Travel arrangements to and from Port au Prince

Tents & sleeping needs (these will be donated to the Haitian people when we leave)

Extra Medical Supplies
