The Northwestern Undergraduate Math Society is a group of students
who, regardless of their major, share an interest in mathematics. The
Society sponsors academic and social events throughout the year. Among
its activities are
- talks by faculty, grad students, and undergraduates about
research and recreational mathematics
- films about mathematics or with mathematical themes
- panels on summer research opportunities in mathematics
- game nights with mathematical themes
- panels about mathematics career opportunities, including actuarial
careers
Refreshments are served at most Society events. |
