It is not the intention of this site to fully cover the parachuting activities of the World Wars.  However, it can not be denied that Darwin played a huge part in the aerial defence of Australia, and consequently parachuting was also an integral part of the military procedures of airmen.  Some of the more notable jumps from the Northern Territory are included.
