The roots of National Taekwon-Do Academy Inc. date back to
the founding of Taekwon-Do as a Martial
art. In 1972 School Director /
President Earl Weiss began his Taekwon-Do training at American Taekwon-Do Institute
under Gregg Youstra (who retired as ITF Dan # A-6-13). That
School was affiliated with ITF Taekwon-Do Pioneer Han Cha Kyo (Who received ITF
Dan # K-8-6). In 1974 the USTF was
founded after a testing was conducted at that school. In 1988 upon the
retirement of Sa Bum Nim Youstra, Earl Weiss as senior rank formed National
Taekwon-Do Academy Inc. The School has
been both the State and Regional Headquarters for the USTF, representing the
ITF as well with ITF Plaque #5103
continuously since 1990. The school is a member of the United States Taekwon-Do Federation.
