NSP agrees to buy 3 optis for sailing program

posted Feb 1, 2009 4:27 AM by Philip Kersten

Currently all optimists are owned by individual families. The NSP will embed classes for optis in its offering starting 2009.

To allow other families that do not own an opti to participate the NSP board agreed to but 3 optis in 2009.
The team is already searching the web to find 3 used optimists.

NSP approves rack plans

posted Feb 1, 2009 4:24 AM by Philip Kersten

At the least NSP board meeting plans to incoporate optimists in the sailing program were reviewed and approved.
To provide the necessary logistics, the board agreed that the NSP should organize the racks and pay for the expenses.

The expenses are expected to be recovered by charging for the storage of optis and a few lasers.

Should the NSP buy its own optis, these would have highest priority to get a spot in the rack.
