On September 30th 2008 we launched Go Fast, Ottawa , a fundraising and skill-raising campaign to compete in the 2010 International-14 Worlds.  After more than a year of planning, fundraising, and practicing, and with a huge contingent of supporters at NSC and beyond, six Ottawa area sailors converged in Manly Australia in January 2010 to compete with more than 100 boats from 6 countries. 

So did we learn anything? Was it worth it? How did we do?  Come out to hear about the way ups, the way downs, and the honest thrill of screaming by ferries and fishing boats at 18 knots!
