Since starting the "Toonie Talks" in 2007, I have been amazed by the support that the Speakers Program has received. NSC staff and management have consistently provided the excellent facilities and services necessary to orchestrate a Speakers Program. With great thanks to our many speakers, Toonie Talks has transformed to become a fun and informative event that many boat-minded people have made part of their off-season schedule. Our attendance is typically in the 50 to 100+ range and includes participation from NSC membership, neighbouring sailing clubs, and newcomers interested in good stories on topics like a South Seas adventure. Nick-named "Toonie Talks" where each attendee was asked to donate $2, the Program supports the NSC's Legacy fund to assist youth racing, and also sponsored two children for our Sailing Camp.
