The Winter Speakers Program is a schedule of sailing-related presentations generally occurring on Thursday evenings throughout the winter. These events  provide the opportunity to hear talks about boating during the non-sailing season. Last year’s speakers program was considered a well-attended success and this winter, NSC will again be sponsoring this program.

Our presenters/speakers are arranged on a volunteer basis and the audience is asked for a $2.00 donation for the NSC Legacy Fund which supports youth racing. The speakers program attempts to provide weekly 1-hour presentations in four areas:
• Cruising
• Racing
• Sailing techniques, tips & best practice
• General sailing-related & maintenance topics

For each presentation we work with the presenters to have a supporting promotion piece (a paragraph & perhaps a picture), that will be distributed as part of our promotional campaign. Distribution is targeted at:
• Community newspapers
• NSC membership website, newsletter and member direct email
• Sailing clubs in Ottawa via email contacts
• General media in Ottawa when appropriate
