It is hard to believe that almost 20 years have elapsed since that fatefull day in March 1989 when we all discovered to our dismay, that we were only days from being out of a job!

A few old stalwarts who remained in "The Valley" have decided it would be a great idea to have a 'Back To Latrobe Valley" get together so we can catch up on old times and do a bit of reminiscing....

What's going to happen?

The intention at this stage is to hold a "Spit Style' meal at the CHC Helicopter Base at Latrobe Valley (Traralgon) Airfield on Saturday the 7th of March 2009

Cost: $20.00 per person, this will cover your meal, crockery & cutlery.

Start Time: About 3pm, and all you need to bring is your own drinks, something to sit on and a keen memory. (if the memory has faded - bring photo's! - If sense of direction faded bring GPS or Guide Dog)

If you feel the need to arrange or be otherwise involved with other get togethers over the weekend (eg, PJ's, Admin, Medical Staff, Ops etc) that will be up to you. Be aware that there are many other activities going on in the valley that weekend so accomodation may be at a premium.

If you could just send us an email with your intentions that would be great, we need to know numbers about a week before to advise the caterers.

You may not get an immeadiate reply to your mail but don't dispair, either Barry, Alison or Shane will get back to you.

Even if you can't come along, send us some mail anyway and we will spread your news around on the day, otherwise we will just make up stuff about you anyway from memory.

As with most things like this, word of mouth is everthing! So, get out your old contact lists and start ringing around - the more the merrier.

On a sad note however, just be mindfull that quite a few of our comrades are no longer with us and the fact that we are holding this reunion may be quite stressfull for those left behind.
