Australia's Biggest Morning Tea
Morning Tea at Warwick and Barbara's home on Saturday was a great success. Thank you to all who came along and helped to support such a worthy cause.
It was a perfect day for a morning tea and the cakes were simply devine. It was lovely sitting on the verandah in the sunshine, admiring the garden and talking with friends. Thank you Barbara and Warwick for such an enjoyable morning. A wonderful result - $520 was raised for the Cancer Council. A big thank you to everyone who made cakes, sandwiches bought raffle tickets, gave donations or came to the morning tea. A special thank you to our major sponsor – Pastry Perfection from Mobbs Lane, Carlingford who donated three delicious cakes. Pastry Perfection have a new cake menu – so see Warwick and Barbara Hale if you would like a copy. NSA Parramatta assists Community
NSA Parramatta have purchased one VHS to DVD Recorder for the purpose of loaning it to Retirement Villages to enable them to transfer their movie libraries to DVD format for residents. Ian McJannett visited Courtlands Village at North Parramatta who advised a real need to be able to do this but lacked the necessary equipment. We have loaned out the Recorder to Courtlands to enable them to copy their movie video tapes to DVD.
Ian also had pleasure in donating on behalf of NSA Parramatta a Portable CD player and one box of DVD+RW discs for use by the residents. Courtlands offers low care, high care and dementia care. Pictured is Ian handing
the equipment to Pat Johnson at Courtlands |
