I. Log in Service Hours JOURNEY TO EXCELLENCE

Instructions to Report Service Hours to the Journey to Excellence Program

Scouting’s Journey to Excellence” is the BSA’s new Council performance recognition program designed to encourage and reward success and measure the performance of our units.  It is replacing the Centennial Quality Awards Program.

All units who want to receive the Journey to Excellence Award this year have the following service project requirement:

Cub Scout Requirement #7
The pack participates in at least two service projects during the year and enters the project and hours on the Journey to Excellence website.  The projects may be completed as joint projects with other organizations.  At least one project must benefit the chartering organization.

Boy Scout Requirement #8
The troop participates in at least four service projects during the year and enters the project and hours on the Journey to Excellence website.  At least one project must benefit the chartering organization.

Venturing Crew Requirement #5
The crew participate in at least two service projects during the year and enters the project and hours on the Journey to Excellence website.  At least one project must benefit the chartering organization.

Scouting for Food counts as one of those service projects as long as you log it in and log in the hours worked into the Journey to Excellence website:
