This is a Novo six horsepower model S vertical engine. Date manufactured: 1922 Serial number: 76301. Manufactured in Lansing Michigan. Four cycle operation, hit and miss. Capable of clockwise or counter-clockwise rotation. Flywheels: 24" diameter. Bore: 5.75" X 7" Stroke RPM: 475. Weight: 800 lbs. 2" diameter crankshaft. Governor: Hit-Miss manually adjustable. Hopper type water cooling. Ignition: High tension buzz coil. Fuel: Gasoline, (this model). Constant level mixer, (no float operation). Gas tank in base: Capacity 6 US gallons Removable valve cages. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Engine has new ignition components, points, etc... Has a new brass oiler. I was able to get all the NOS parts I needed at Hit and Miss Enterprises, great supplier! Fuel pump was repacked for optimum operation. Mixer was bead blasted, replaced the gaskets and needle valve, has been painted with clear paint. Muffler was taken apart, glass beaded, reassembled, and repainted with black heat paint. Engine has great compression! |
