BUS 116 Introduction to Entrepreneurship 3 credits Identifies management concerns unique to small business. Introduces the requirements necessary to initiate a small business, and identifies the elements comprising a business plan. Presents information establishing financial and administrative controls, developing a marketing strategy, managing business operations, and the legal and government relationships specific to small businesses. Lecture 3 hours per week. MKT 160 Marketing for Small Business 3 credits Presents the development of the marketing mix for a small business. Includes areas such as product development, pricing, promotion, salesmanship, customer relations, and consumer behavior. individual, small group, and public communication levels with emphasis
on communication competence and confidence at each level. Teaches management and the management functions of planning, organizing, leading, and controlling.
