Safety


The race is conducted under the ARA Row Safe guide. Please make sure you are familar with this information, which can be found online at: http://www.ara-rowing.org/watersafety/rowsafe

ATTENTION

Due to overhead work on the Suspension Bridge, half of the river is buoyed off under the bridge on the outside of the bend. The remaining half of the river is amply wide enough, and the racing line per se is actually unaffected, but there could be problems if a number of crews pass through the bridge line abreast. Competitors are urged to take note of the restricted channel when proceeding to the start. Please see the photograph below for a view of the bridge looking upstream (the race will be towards the viewer); note the boat approaching the bridge for scale.
