Booking
If you are an artist or agent representing an artist interested in performing a notloB concert, here are some things you might like to know. We get a lot of booking requests, but due to a fininte number of concerts each year cannot oblige all. Before applying via instructions at the end (all others received by other channels will be ignored). Please read all the way through.
GUIDELINES
(all venues)
notloB Concerts produces concerts at two venues: Unity Somerville (175 seats) and the Loring-Greenough House in Jamaica Plain (40 seats). Being a not-for-profit we cannot offer a guarantee, but our terms are very generous (basically we cover fixed expenses, the rest goes to the artists). We present old-time, traditional and traditional-based folk, as well as social justice folk, Celtic, Cape Breton, blues and bluegrass. Do we present "radio-friendly" introspective contemplative naval-gazing self-centered breathy atmospheric targeted-for-Hollywood pop-driven alt-anything formulaic AAA music? No!Nay!Never! We prefer our artists to have some
draw history or at least some patron base in the greater-Boston area. As much as we'd love to, we cannot accept more than one
booking per venue per month. If you meet these criteria, for
further information or to make an inquiry or to send an EPK, contact us via email to the address below. Applications sent by any other method will be ignored. Please
do not send any hard copy press kits or cds until given the green light.
Concerts at Unity.
SOUND - A professional sound engineer and system are used.
CAPACITY - 175.
OTHER - All shows are open to the public, all ages
and smoke free. Afternoon workshops are possible.
Concerts at the Loring-Greenough House.
SOUND - Due to their intimate size and historical character, we prefer using no sound reinforcing equipment. You are welcome to
bring your own amp and mic if you like, but we cannot accommodate a
full PA system. We are also unable to have percussion beyond hand
drums. Our space is intended to be an acoustic setting.
CAPACITY - Our room has a maximum capacity of 40. If a show sells out, we have a waiting list. All shows are open to the public, all ages and smoke free.

history - venue name / date / ticket price / draw - and any other
