Mrs. Gillam

I have been a media specialist for 7 years. I was born and raised in Columbus, OH. I earned a B.S. in English Education from Ohio State University (go Bucks!) and taught high school English. My first teaching job was on a therapeutic wagon train that travelled from Pennsylvania through Florida. I have lived in a tipi for a year, ridden a horse for 4 hours straight (ouch) and lived on a covered wagon. I have a great appreciation for showers and running water now. My second teaching position was in Jasper County, SC where I met my husband. We then moved to the upstate. I then realized that my true calling was to work with elementary-age students. I earned a Master's in Library Science from the University of South Carolina (Go Cocks!). I live in Elgin with my husband and two daughters ages 2 & 4. I enjoy reading, travelling, splashing in the pool with my girls, vegging out at the beach and showering.
