Epilogue

Thanks for another great year!

Some bumps in the road, some rain, some heat, but overall good event.

Thanks to all who made it happen and who participated!

Event Schedule

Arrival, Setup, Registration, POVs, etc..

Registration officially opens at 1500hrs on Friday, May 27th. Participants are asked to not arrive before this time if possible --- you will not be able to enter the museum to setup if you do. When arriving, park in the main lot, take your paperwork & IDs, and follow the signs towards Registration (Campsite #200). The staff there will get you signed in, registered, and a pass to enter the museum through Gate B. Show the pass to the guard at the gate and they will open it for you and help you find your camspite.

Registration will close at 2100hrs Friday night and reopen at 0730hrs Saturday morning.

All participants must be present at the Safety and Authenticity Inspection at 0900hrs on Saturday. If you arrive late or miss the inspection, go to Registration at Campsite (#200) located just east of the Main Depot.

An Officers' Call is held Friday night for those Commanding Officers who have arrived already. The meeting will be held at the Pavilion just north of the Diner. Daily Officers' Calls are held on the Parade Field immediately after S&A on Saturday and at 0900hrs on Sunday and Monday. Participation in ANY scenario requires representation at the officer call.

All POV's are to be out of the museum grounds by 0900hrs each day. No POVs are allowed in the museum overnight without permission. Please park on the South end of the parking lot so that the prime spaces are available for the public. POV's are not allowed back into the museum until after 1800hrs each day. Gate B (the vehicle access gate) will be open before and after these times. Anyone arriving after 0900hrs or wishing to pack before 1800hrs will have to carry their equipment through Gate A.

Gate A, the ticket gate, is large enough for foot traffic only. All vehicles are forbidden from using this gate!

Event Schedule:

The museum 'officially' opens at 0900hrs and closes at 1800hrs.
Quiet time begins at 2300hrs each night, please keep noise to a minimum after this time so that people who wish to sleep can do so.

Main Showcase Battle is scheduled ONLY for Sunday. This is in response to the schedule on Saturday being too 'loaded down'. The battle is currently planned to be greatly expanded and more interesting than the average field battle. More info to come at officer call.

Those seeking trigger time on Saturday can do so during the Anzio Express (there is a battle at the Seeman Road stop) and during the Tour of Italy skits. Please contact respective organizers for more info. Additionally, if you have an idea for a skit/vignette that you wish to put on ANYWHERE in the museum at ANYTIME (*during public hours), please contact the event coordinator.

We are working with trains, if you miss your train, you are out of luck! It won't come back for you, your unit, or whatever. We hate it just as much as you do when you miss an event!

Special Time Considerations:
Anzio Express, Allied Reenactors: A shuttle train takes the airmen and infantry out to their stop BEFORE the German Train leaves, you need to be at the DEPOT at least ONE HOUR ahead of the Anzio Express Departure Time if you want to make the shuttle train. If you are riding in vehicles, they will convoy down at this time also.

Anzio Express, Axis Reenactors: You should plan on arriving a half hour before the scheduled departure of this train.

US Troop Trains, Seeman Road participants: You should plan on arriving at the Depot an hour before the scheduled departure of this train. A shuttle train or vehicle will be taking you to Seeman Road

US Troop Trains, RidersYou should plan on arriving a half hour before the scheduled departure of this train.

Field Battle, Tour of Italy, Air Raid, All ParticipantsYou should plan on arriving a half hour before the scheduled start of these activities.
