5th Annual Granny’s Oak Twister

Come out and enjoy the sweet trails of the East Qu’Appelle.
This area has wonderful scenic views that include stands of the gnarly
bur oak. The race course has amazing altitude changes and deliciously
winding down hills. The course is well marked and groomed.
Prizes generously supplied by Dutch Cycle and a catered
meal will be included with the race registration.
When.
The Race begins at 11:00 am sharp. Registration is at 9:00 am
Meal to follow at Rainbow Hall (Same
place as last year.)
Where: Twelve
kilometres straight south of Esterhazy on grid 637.
Entry Fee: Early registration is $35.00 (Received prior to May 20th).
Registration received after May 20th is $45.00.

From Whitewood go North on Hwy 9 to Qu’Appelle Valley, cross
River and turn
East on grid road. Follow grid and watch
for signs and commotion.
From Yorkton, take Hwy 9 South to Qu’Appelle Valley and turn
East on Grid road,
North side of the river.

Note of interest: There
are other possibilities for accommodations. The Rainbow dance hall provides
a rustic bed and breakfast opportunity. If you are willing to camp,
the landowners will let you pitch a tent in their pasture. If you think
you know me well enough, you could camp out at our nearby cottage.

Granny’s
Oak Twister Kids Race: We
are offering a kids race. Bikes are subject to inspection. Race is 1
lap of a shortened modified loop of the regular trail. Same start and
finish area. Race starts at 10:20
am. This will require pre-ride of this area to be finished by 10:10.
Cost of race is $15 (banquet included). Parents must sign a waiver.
