In this drumclod, I attempt to convey urgency and motion through alarming textures and steady balanced rhythm with no pauses. It descends from a modified rhythm common to West African musical traditions, albeit played with an American feel. Instruments featured in the clod include a single rack tom, a brass candlestick, and the plastic casing from a discarded television set.
