Congratulations for a great season Norcal B.....they win the season again. With a brilliant save by Aaron Nevins in the end, the team finishes on top. We want to thank Sondra Marchand for her great leadership in organizing the group and ending the season strong. Mike Maltby will be stepping up to fill some big shoes in leading our new club members this season. We welcome Tom Durkee, Pete Huls, Jason Drobish, Adam Blitz, Ray Antar and Eve Isham to the team. Let's keep up the momentum, big win sunday against the Decepticons 4-2. |

I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome the new players to Norcal Crossover. Our friday night team has gone through a big change with the new additions of Mark Whitney, Paul Wright, Michael Hurley and Anthony Cucchi. I'm hoping these guys will help us roller players better adjust to the ice surface and help build our team skills. Sunday night team has started out the season with a bang. Three wins in a row, "WOW". We welcome Michael Otwell, Mike Maltby, Chris Beckman, Ed Jimison, Jerry Smith and our new goalie Aaron Nevins to the team. And kudos for Sondra for helping Captain our Sunday night studs! Keep up the good work and better yet, let's continue to build our club and hopefully by next season we can get an upper division going. |

Norcal B was able to go up big early and hold on for a HUGE victory over the Rush. The games between these two teams have always been fast, hard hitting and heated, so needless to say it was an exciting match. Thanks to some outstanding passing and well times break-aways from the offense and a stout defense that worked very hard to limit the speed attack that just kept coming all game long, the Bronze league Crossover has earned itself a first round playoff bye! Let's not forget the hard work of the man in net either, the always upbeat Billy turned it on when it was needed most in the last period. Way to go team! Keep it strong through the playoffs and HAVE FUN!

With starting goal tender Billy playing winger on Sunday Daisy stepped in between the pipes and did a wonderful job (her first time playing on ice!!!). Norcal got out to an early 4-1 lead with a lot of well crisp passes to set up fast break outs and accurate shooting from the whole team. Going on the defensive as the Flyers pressed hard to get back into the game the Crossover were able to hold off any scoring until late in the game. With 3 minutes left in the game and the Flyers put one in the net to get within a goal of tieing it up but Norcal held strong and finished out the game with a 4-3 victory. GOOD GAME EVERYBODY! |

After a slow start during the first period, the team was able to pick up it's momentum during the second and third period. Great passing game between Chris, Sal and Jay that gave us the final winning score of 3 - 2. Good start after a long Christmas/New Year break. Next game is against is against the Puck Hogs late Friday night. |

Both teams are on a roll. Norcal B, a dominant win against the Mustangs 4 - 1. Winning the game puts the Norcal B in the first place position although our goalie, Billy Keen, was unable to get the shutout against the Mustangs yet.....he'll be gunning for it when they next meet. Norcal A goes two wins in a row....with many of the women in a scrimmage in San Jose, Norcal A was still able to shutdown the Ice Dawgs. Billy Keen filling in as goalie and Geral Law subbing helped with the 4 - 0 victory. Norcal A also shutdown the ARRRRRR Pirates with a 4 - 0 victory. Robert Sher, a new addition to the team, skates for his first time in years on ice and contributes several beautiful passes to keep the puck down in the Pirates defensive end. Laura Casper, Sondra Marchand, and Charles Wang just played awesome and gave the team more chances for shots on goal. Chris Jones takes several shots on goal by rebounding his own shots several times but just couldn't quite capitalize on his attempts. Eric McGrath with a beautiful catch and shoot, just missed the goal by...yes.....that much. The AMAAAAZING Vincent Rodriguez and John Harada dominates the defensive end. Believe it or not......no penalties last night ! Just good solid playing hockey....gotta love it ! |

The NorCal Crossover B team suffered a tough loss against Rush on Sunday, November 16. The number of shots was about the same for both teams, but Rush prevailed by a score of 3-1. Rush exhibited good team speed and solid defense. NorCal had several good scoring chances, but was only able to convert on one goal by Sondra after a great pass from Sarah. NorCal feels they can play better, but Rush deserves much credit for showing their ability as an up-and-coming team.

Great job against "Yo Mama" last Friday. Gerald, as usual, awesome job helping the team with two goals. I would have to say though, the win was due to great defensive work from Steve, Melissa, Daisy, Gerald, Eric, Chris, Vincent, and Charles. So many close goals besides the ones that went in. Eric, Jason and Charles with one also assists from Laura, Jay and Charles. Great compliment from the other team who said he wished his team played half as well as we do.......great passing and team work made goal tending a bit easier for Joe (and I'm sure he appreciates that). Kudos also to the other team who played hard. Let's keep up the good work ! |

Short shifts and great team work helps Norcal B defeat the Flyers 5-2. All time best for Patrick with a two goals and two assists. Billy with a hurt ankle from last week's game braved the rest of the game with a reinjured ankle playing part of the period on his knees. Chris Dameron great breakaways into the Flyer zone and keeps the Flyers in the chase mode. Grace comes into the game a little late but was able to make some great defensive plays and breaks her stick, but still manages to score a goal for the team with Jen's back up stick. Brent is showing more and more improvement on the ice as he makes some great passes in the Flyer zone to fellow teammates. The team is flourishing as they get stronger and stronger with more and more games under their belt. Keep up the great work !
