State Government takes over rally approval BACK TO MAIN PAGE
"Special legislation" has been passed by the NSW state government to ensure that the rally takes place.
The Minister for State Development, Ian Macdonald, has admitted that the government did so at the behest of the Federation Internationale d'Automobile (FIA), the Paris-based organisation behind the rally.
