Membership

The NonGeeks network is made up of people from the U3A Canberra and the PC Users Group, Canberra's computer club. 

Our network meets monthly on first Thursday mornings at HAGSOC (genealogy society). Cook Community Hub, Templeton Street, Cook ACT 2614

Open to all comers who are seeking people-friendly information about computers. 
Come as you are – and ask any question you like. Beginners welcome.  You join the group by coming along and taking part.

We also keep in touch between meetings.   For this purpose we maintain a contact list and we also run an email chat list which has a private website, through Googlegroups.  Your privacy is protected.   Both our contact list and our Googlegroup are private, available to members only.

Where we meet:

We meet at the Cook Community Hub, under the auspices of U3A Canberrra (University of the Third Age) in the Education Room of the Heraldry and Genealogy Society (HAGSOC) also located at Cook Hub.  U3A has hired the HAGSOC room for our use.

When in 2011: –

first Thursday of the month, that is in 2011,  2 February, 1 March, 5 April, 3 May, 7 June, 5 July, 2 August, 6 September, 4 October, 1 N0vember, 6 December. No meeting in January 2012 or January 2013 .  

Meeting details

Meeting starts 10am sharp. We pause for coffee around 10.45.  You can use this time to put further questions and topics on the whiteboard and to catch up with other members. Meeting closes 12 midday sharp.  

Cost:

$2 per meeting attended, to cover hire of premises, morning tea and other minor expenses. You become a member of the nongeeks network by simply coming along and joining in.

RSVP : 

It would be appreciated if people attending for the first time would contact the convenors by email or phone to advise your likely attendance.  This helps the convenors in case there has been any late change in our meeting arrangements.
