Fire Pierre McGuire
Help return hockey commentating to it's former glory.

Over the last century, we have seen a number of legendary hockey commentators, led without a doubt by Foster Hewitt. In the recent years, however, we have had to withstand several awful ones, but many of us are fed up. Sure, we still have our own share of great commentators. The Vancouver Canuck's have the luxury of Jim Hughson, and the Buffalo Sabres feature one of the most electric commentators in history, Rick Jeanneret. Some may be considered biased and some not. A good hockey commentator, however, should make you want to turn the volume up, not turn it off.

Pierre is the exact opposite of everything that you look for in a good hockey commentator. He is loudmouthed, seems to always be talking, and does not hesitate to repeat something several times. At some times, he seems to try to do anything to please whomever is watching, although this never works as the majority of fans have dreams of the day he gets canned.

And guess what! There happen to be several people who feel exactly the same way as we do.

"Does any hockey fan in the country enjoy your gruff, opinionated, baseless and continual rants all game? We felt as though we were watching the broadcast with a drunken frat boy. How you are even employed in the first place is beyond us."

"I don’t care what players had for breakfast, or at the age of 6 somebody got their first pair of skates. "

The day that Pierre is let loose will be a day of celebration around the world. Once again, hockey fans across North America will be able to return the television to it's natural volume, and listen to an entire hockey game without covering their ears.
