Sunburn
Symptoms and Treatments
You may experience sunburn from direct exposure to the sun in the middle of the day after 20 minutes. Although sunblock will protect the skin for a short time, it should be reapplied when swimming. Young children in particular may suffer from painful burns.
The victim may complain of pain and tightness of the skin. When these happen, try to help him into a cool or shaded place where he can rest without leaning on the sunburned area. Encourage the victim to take frequent cool drinks.
Apply lotion because it is less painful to apply but avoid direct finger contact with the painful area. Always seek the advice of a pharmacist. | |
