I would like to do some shakedown hikes in Forest Park.  It has a little bit of the up/down that we will encounter in KY.  I am proposing 6 evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 or so.  You do not have to come to all of them-though it can't hurt!!!-but I would strongly request you come to one or two at a minimum.  If you need equipment, we can get you some.  There are personal and District/Council resources we can draw from to equip your scout.  At the worst, we can rent backpacks from the Council for $3/day.  For the shakedowns, we can share loads or borrow packs--will cost $0.
