| Heather Valcanas Head Coach Jr Midget Cheer
What
I bring is over 15 years dance and choreography experience as well as
4 years cheerleading at the high school level. I am first aid and CPR
certified and work with high school students exploring their
vocational goals. As team mom for last year’s PEEWEE squad; I was
able to attend all practices and learn more about the North Middlesex
Pop Warner Program. I have great respect for the NMPW coaching staff
and am excited to be a part of it this season.
Philosophy:
I
believe every child should have a chance to shine and be recognized
for their individual strengths. Cheerleading is a great way for kids
to learn trust and responsibility while forging new friendships. The
more positive experiences a child can have the better. Patience
always pays off. I want these kids to have a fun, rewarding
experience and to feel good about themselves as well as their
contributions to their squad and NMPW. | | | Bonnie Wright Head Coach Jr Pee Wee Cheer 1
With last year being my first year head coaching for North Middlesex Pop Warner, I can not wait to
come back this year. I was a Pop Warner cheerleader as a child and
cheered all four years of high school for football and basketball;
competing and coming in 2nd in states. I work for a local heating and
air conditioning company as a sales/marketing assistant. I have also
been involved with the Relay For Life Ayer for the last 5 years, being
that I am a cancer survivor. I am a mom to twins. My son plays for PAT
hockey and my daughter is a NMPW cheerleader! I am excited to see
North Middlesex Pop Warner strive this year.
I love love love to coach. I truly love all girls and I'm very
proud to see what they can accomplish as a team, as well as,
individually. The friendships that are formed with each team every year
can not be broken or forgotten. Pop Warner cheerleading is where great
memories are made for the girls. My motto has always been to have fun
and KEEP SMILING!

Coaching cheer for North Middlesex Pop Warner is great fun. I was head coach of the Spurs Cheer Squad and assistant coach for the Wranglers Cheer Squad for the 2010 Season. Our cheerleaders did a fantastic job and won the “Spirit Award” at the annual Fun Competition held in Worcester, Ma. I look forward to another wonderful year coaching our Rustlers Squad for the upcoming 2011 Season. I cheered myself for Pop Warner as a young girl and also cheered for 4 years during high school. I have over 20 years of experience teaching girls of all ages. I have been dancing, teaching and choreographing for over 25 years. I attended the Boston Conservatory of Music as a dance major, attended the Dance Teacher’s Club of Boston training program and have performed for Opryland USA. Our family lives in Townsend and I’m a mom of 3 children. We all have a place in the North Middlesex Pop Warner family. Jake is my football player, Rory & Kyla are my cheerleaders and my husband Bill is also a coach! I look forward to another wonderful season coaching. It’s great to be able to see each girl realize her strengths and then develop them, no matter what age, into something that she can be very proud of. Along with lots of giggles, we work very hard and grow together as a team. When coaches allow each individual to shine in her own unique way, we are rewarded with a squad that has many levels of talent. When these talents are all put together, the final package is a cheerleading squad that is comprised of individuals that are energetic, proud of their accomplishments and happy to be a part of it.…and that is what it’s all about. See you this season!!! |
