Thank you for visiting the site of "The Common Man for U.S. Congress!"
As you probably already guessed, I am an Nicholas Nix an INDEPENDENT candidate for Texas' 4th District for the U.S. House of Representatives.
- I am just a common man (that is tired of Republicans and Democrats).
- I am not a millionaire (I only have one old suit).
- I am not a career politician (in fact I have never even been elected).
- I work for a living, and earn a meager salary (meager meaning, Teacher's make a lot more than me).
- I, like most of you, struggle in an economy, that has seen Wall Street nearly destroy this country and at the end of the day Washington decided to help them out and send the U.S. Taxpayers the bill (Both Republicans and Democrats have done this).
- I believe in taking money out of politics (limiting campaign spending to $30,000 for congressional races)
- I believe that Congressmen should be paid NO more than the Federal Minimum Wage (if it is good for us, then why not them... also they can always get second job if ends don't meet).
Well those are just some details about me and my beliefs I have, I hope reading that you got a better understanding of who I am. So now check out the rest of the site and keep coming back, because I plan to fill this site up with my opinions and information on the campaign!
