Below are details on my life, and my
Five Recommendations to Change Bad Congressional Behavior!

I have ran for office twice before; once for City Council of Mesquite in 1998 and once for Mayor of Mesquite in 1999.
I graduated in 2003 from Texas A&M University-Commerce with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science, and another Bachelor of Science degree in History. I also graduated with a Master of Public Affairs Degree (Specialization in Public Management) from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2004.

Aside from that I live in Rockwall; I was a member of the Heath Fire Department in Heath, Texas for four years. Also,I run a large paranormal society in the Dallas Area, named the Dallas Area Paranormal Society. I founded it in the year 2001 and now we have some 165 members.

Personally, I am just a common man that is tired of Republicans and Democrats (like most of the people in this country). I believe that our largest problem is we have a government that ignores its citizens in favor of benefiting large campaign contributors (mostly big business).

I am a long time member of the American Federation of Teachers and while I don't substitute teach much anymore, I am still a member of this Union and believe strongly in the gains that the and Unions give to the American Worker! While our rights in the work place have been receding over the years, our Unions have been trying hard to right the ship, and to give a living wage and decent benefits that every worker should have.

I am a lifetime democratic socialist (similar to Bernard "Bernie" Sanders (I) U.S. Senator from Vermont), in that I follow the belief that government should payback those that pay into it! Namely when the worker's pay taxes, this should not results in tax breaks for the rich, or free money for Big Business. I am not here to give everything to the poor or to the rich, but we should create a real Progressive Tax income system that accounts for the more you make the more you pay. Inversely, the less you make the less you pay, and social benefits favor those who work, not those that are rich or those that sit at home do nothing with no ailments. I support highly the Partido Socialista Obrero Español the ruling Party in Spain, the British Labour Party (a social democratic party) the ruling Party of the United Kingdom; and yes I am member of the Socialist Party of the United States of America.

Also in a recent poll when asked, only just 53% of Americans said that Capitalism was better than Socialism; and of adults under 30 years old, only 37% of them felt Capitalism was best, followed by 33% for Socialism, and 30% undecided. However, the poll did not define Capitalism (which all Americans are very familiar with), or Socialism (which many Americans have a lot of FALSE presumptions about, most Americans incorrectly assume it is like Soviet Russia's economy, when it is really more like that of present-day Germany). To review the entire study from Ramussen Reports click here.

Also a recent Gallup Poll (again no defintion was given for the word Socialism) asked did people favor or not favor certain words Socialism and Capitalism where a few of the key words. In it 36% of People Had a Favorable view of Socialism, to review the entire poll from Gallp click here. Also the subject was brought up by Jack Cafferty on the CNN's Situation Room where the question was asked "what does it mean that a third of Americans have a favorable view of Socialism?". I also believe that it is very unfortunate that the U.S. does not have a proportional representation (also called full representation) like most democracies throughout the world and not our highly restrictive Single-member district plurality (SMDP). We have two party's two choose from and that is it folks! Think of it, if I told you there was some third world country that only had two party's that were more or less the same (one overtly for big business, the other covertly for big business); you would probably think it as some tyrannical society. Unfortunately that Tyranny does exist in the the tyranny of a two party system in the United States.

Furthermore, I BELIEVE CONGRESS WILL NEVER RELATE TO ORDINARY CITIZENS' PROBLEMS since they are award themselves such a high salary and so many benefits that they continue to deny the U.S. Citizens.

These are my five recommendations to Congress:

1. $30,000 campaign contribution limit per election cycle- I believe that all congressional campaigns should be limited to spending only $30,000 during an election. This would be done to help remove the influence that money has over politicians. That is why I have dedicated my campaign to not receive funds in excess of $30,000!

2. Congressional Lobbying should be open an transparent-  All communication between any lobbyist of a Political Action Committee (PAC), Business, or other Organized Group (that is not an individual citizen from the member's district, speaking on their own behalf) should be recorded and made visible to the public on a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, also called an open records request. The Center for Responsive Politics (CPR) is a non-partisan research group that tries to track the effect of money and lobbying activity on elections and public policy. Click here to see District 4's Congressmen, Ralph Halls' page on the CPR site opensecrets.org

3. Congress should make NO more than the Federal Minimum Wage Per hour - I believe that Congressman should earn NO more than the Federal Minimum Wage. While some people think this may deter candidates that are working or middle class; it does not deter me. I fit right in that category and I am the one that is suggesting it. It would save taxpayers millions of dollars, and at the same time show members how small a Minimum wage check is. Because living on Minimum wage is a lot different then knowing what the monetary amount is.

4. Congress should not receive better benefits than its citizens - I believe that Congress should not have a retirement or health care programs better than the median number of Americans currently have.

5. Congress gets One Week of Vacation, ONLY after the completion of one FULL YEAR ON THE JOB -  I believe Congressmen should only be given one week of vacation after one year in Congress. Since this is what most real job's currently offer

As for those of you that think this is some kind of joke. I say if it is a joke, it is joke that most Americans have to live with day-after-day in their own lives, why not Congress as well.

While I am not saying this is the solution, it is a start to help get Congress to understand the real plight of its citizens.

I hope you enjoyed reading my bio and personal believes as what Congress should aspire to become, a body that "LEADS BY EXAMPLE"!

Thank You,
