I worked for Yahoo! Software Development India Pvt. Ltd. Bangalore, for over 2 yrs from June 2006 to July 2008. During my tenure at Yahoo!, I worked on several open source technologies at met really smart people. I majorly worked on a platform which publishes Internet's most visited page i.e. Yahoo! Homepage for several countries. I majorly worked on reporting module for this platform i.e. processing of weblogs of frontpage and generating user behavior reports for tracking.
Later on I worked on platforms to publish microsites and worked on Javascript based reporting solutions i.e. Indextools. I was also part of Security Task Force at Yahoo! called Paranoids and conducted few security reviews for the platform. I participated in several talks and events like Yahoo! Hack days and Yahoo! Big Thinkers Series. My Hack was amongst the prize winners for one of the Hack Day (June 2008).

I was also a Research Intern at Yahoo! from Dec 2005 to Feb 2006 before joining as a Full Time Employee. During my Internship, I worked with Yahoo! HotJobs team on various interesting problems. I researched on various methods of semantic information representation and intelligent retreival. I studied about Ontologies and there applications. I proposed a high level system to use ontologies for a Job search portal.
I also worked on Yahoo!'s Vertical Search platform and wrote some useful plugins to rearrange the results according to business logic.




 I worked as a summer intern for PGCIL, Gurgaon, New Delhi from June 2005 to July 2005. I worked on building a Asset Management System for them using MS SQL Server as a backend and ASP.NET for server side scripting. The portal was required to keep track of various assets withing the organization from hardware to software. It gave me exposure to actual database backed internet applications and various issues of concurrency control, authentication and multi user applications.

 (Government of India)                                                                      I worked as a summer intern for CEA, R.K. Puram, New Delhi from June 2004 to July 2004. I worked on
                                                                                                               building a web portal to monitor daily coal usage by various power plants in India. This was called Online
                                                                                                               Daily Coal Monitoring System. This was my introduction to web applications. I started with ASP-3.0 and Microsoft Access as the scripting and database respectively and built a prototype system for them.
