About me নির্মাল্য (Samsad p. 0587) nirmālya n flowers, leaves etc. offered to a deity and subsequently borne upon the head by the votaries as a token of holy grace. My interests range from the dubious (!?!) to the hilarious. I am deeply interested in the preservation of our fragile earth and make human existence more sustainable. It is a long term goal of mine to work in organizations working for social, political and economic uplift of rural populace in India, using both new and old technologies, and through the idea of fostering a spiritual relationship between humans and their local and global environment. Currently I am doing my Ph.D. in soil science at the WSU Campus in Pullman, WA, USA. See my work page for details. Reading books and online, traveling, photography and listening to music constitute my other (leisure) activities. Thanks for visiting. |
