Hi! I'm Nilu, short for Nilanjan Sen. I was born in Calcutta and spent my early childhood in Delhi. I graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University, Calcutta and have been working in the Petroleum Refining industry both in India and abroad since. A major part of my service life was spent working for Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, a Fortune 500 company and India's second largest refiner, at their refineries in Visakhapatnam and Mumbai. I am currently based in Kuwait, working for another refining giant, Kuwait National Petroleum Company, at their Mina-Al-Ahmadi Refinery, one of the largest refineries in the world. Leaving aside my profession, travelling and reading are two of my favourite activities. I must admit that my professional life and the fact that I am based abroad leaves me with little time to indulge in either of the two pastimes. However, I lose no opportunity to read or travel whenever I get the chance. I have attempted to share some of my experiences and thoughts on these with my esteemed readers.

Hello! I'm Anu, Nilu's better half. My full name is Anupama. I was born in the Central Indian town of Jabalpur, where I grew up, studied and also had a short stint as a primary school teacher in the very school where I studied. In fact, I was in Jabalpur all along till marriage. I am a graduate in Commerce from Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya, formerly Jabalpur University. After marriage, I have always lived close to the sea! Quite a change for someone who had always lived in a location as far inland as Jabalpur. Visakhapatnam, Mumbai and now Kuwait are the places I have lived in after tying the knot. In fact, my residences in Visakhapatnam and Kuwait are within walking distance from the sea! By profession, I am a primary school teacher with expertise in handling children of diverse nationalities, religions and languages. My interests and hobbies include interior decoration, embroidery, tailoring, painting, singing and dancing. I am also the proud mother of a teenaged daughter, Aparna.
