Organization background: The laboratory is developed under the transfer technology of Japanese Artificial Intelligence experts from the HITACHI Laboratory and under the collaboration between SIRIM and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
Research Assistant. Assisted into investigating radial basis function architecture and back-propagation algorithm. The goal was to analyze which algorithm was more efficient for face recognition.

June-August, 2009. Co-mentor Masters internship student Samuel Mendes from LIRMM-University Montpellier II, France on implementing Activity States Framework for conflict detection.
August, 2007. Co-mentor PhD internship student Maxim Makatchev, from Robotics Department, Carnegie Mellon University on categorizing conversations into context using machine learning.

GRANTS AND AWARDS

  • August, 2008. Awarded with 5000 GBP from Agile Alliance research program to conduct ethnography study, analyzing Agile software meetings in Agile industry. In collaboration with Prof. Helen Sharp, leader of Empirical Studies of Software Development Group in the Computing Department, The Open University, UK.
  • September, 2008. Nominated as one of the three finalists for the "The Tecnovisionarie ¨" 2008 BlackBerry¨ “Women and Technology Award” under the theme Arts and Affective Computing, Interaction and Dialogues on the Future Web, associated by IFIP in 2008, in Milan, Italy.
