The ballroom decor is slightly outdated when you first look at the room, but you can't even tell once everything is all set up for the party. Carmen, the co-owner/banquet manager, was phenomenal throughout the entire planning process. Completely accessible, quick to return to calls, and very accomodating for last minute changes. There was a problem with the cake (see Michaelangelo's review), and I went to the bar and asked to see Carmen he almost RAN out to me to make sure everything was all right. The food was amazing!! The portions were so huge and everyone complimented us about their meals. AND there was a TON of food leftover that we got to take home. I swear there is enough food to last a good 3 weeks! Rachel got to the house and scoped out what was going to work best, we talked about changing plans for picture locations due to the rain, and she jumped right in to help with little things like finishing up the boquets. At first I didn't think they were getting a lot of pictures, but then they showed the same day edit slideshow and I (and most all of our guests) were absolutely amazed by the pictures. Gary kept things moving right along the entire evening and totally read the crowd and went with what felt right, just like he told us he would. He was so easy to work with, especially with our need for specific Italian music. Gary's communication with us way above and beyond what I would have expected-- and it was greatly appreciated. Party Decor - A+ Niky Hoder (440) 877-0097 www.party-decor.com Party Decor supplied table runners, chair covers, cake table cloth, headtable decorations and the VERY last minute addition of ceiling fabric. Everything was GORGEOUS! Alina and Niky were so accomodating when I asked to add fabric on the ceiling THE MONDAY before the wedding they said no problem! I couldn't believe it because they talked before about the extensive labor needed to do it. I walked in the room I was so pleased with how everything came together. The week before the wedding I went in to make the final payment and confirm everything and Matt wasn't available, so I spoke to Mike. Mike looked at the order sheet and said something about cassatta cake and I freaked. I said absolutely NO cassatta cake. The flavors were to be strawberry marble and chocolate with chocolate mousse. We cut the cake and it was the strawberry marble layer, then I went to the head table where some of the BMs were eating cake and it was cassatta cake. I said "What are you eating?!" They of course replied "Cake." And I said, "That's not my wedding cake!!" I then found Carmen Cerino and he took me back in the kitchen to see the rest of the cake. I spoke with them on Monday after the weding and they were very apologetic-- and we got many compliments on all the flavors of cake. The quality, taste, and design of the cakes were all great and outweighed the error that was made. freshrosepetals.com: B- (888) 313-6423 www.freshrosepetals.com I ordered a test batch of vendella, bianca, and bluebird roses and purple calla lillies in March. Vendellas and biancas and callas were beautiful, but many of the bluebirds were not usable. I spoke to DeeDee the manager of the physical location and she creditted for the unusable flowers and assured me that my order for the wedding would be good, and if high quality bluebirds were not available that she would contact me. Just to be sure I contacted the company on Tuesday before the wedding. I was told by a gentleman who answered the phone the the bluebirds looked very "healthy" at this time. When they arrived however I was still unhappy with the quality, but I had to make due with what we had. The flowers did turn out looking good, but I think quality of roses could have better. The driver, Ron, arrived early to pick up Antonio and the GMs, then got to the house right on time to pick me and the BMs. He was very pleasant and helpful. He walked each BM to the car and to the church covering each with an umbrella. And he gave us a little excitment when he avoided some idiot trying to turn right from the center lane. He drove a little on the sidewalk but totally avoided an accident, made sure everyone was all right, and got us where we needed to be on time. I often caught sight of the camera, but barely even knew it was there. They were so laid back and completely out of the way. Mark's assistant was even willing to take my camera to take a few pictures while we were at Mootown Creamery getting ice cream! I can't wait to see the final product. |
