You see things; and you say, 'Why?' But I dream things that never were; and I say, "Why not?". G.B.Shaw

| I am currently a Phd Student at the University of Ljubljana, Department of Political Sciences, and a researcher at the Institute for Comparative Law at the University of Ljubljana, where I am co-authoring a monograph on international humanitarian law in peace operations and preparing a military manual on International Law of Armed Conflict for the Slovenian Armed Forces. Since October 2006, I have also been working as a Research Assistant to prof. Christopher Greenwood, London School of Economics/Essex Court Chambers. My current research interest is focused on issues of international peace and security and the use of armed force in the international arena. I've been pursuing this interest from the perspectives of both International Law and International Relations theorie with a view to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the law and politics of contemporary military campaigns in the international arena. I believe that this interdisciplinary debate is particularly undernourished and provides great scope for development of both disciplines. Beyond this field of research, my interests and expertise include the International Law on the Use of Force and Armed Conflict (jus ad bellum and jus in bello), United Nations Law, International Criminal Law, Peace Operations Law, and international legal aspects of non-state violence (e.g. terrorism). This website is designed to provide insight into my various current and past activities, access to my publications and links to research resources, blogs and other attractive sites touching the complex issues of international law and international politics. |
