Leon Niemoczynski, Ph.D.

Welcome to my homepage.  Here you can read about my research and teaching interests, as well as access my blog and Picasa photo gallery.

About Me
I specialize in the American and Continental philosophical traditions - where my research focus lies primarily at the intersection of the philosophy of religion and philosophical theology.  I also have interests in ethics, aesthetics, logic, Asian philosophy, and environmental philosophy (including the philosophy of nature and  philosophical ecology).

I am the author of nearly twenty articles and book reviews found in various academic journals and am the author of two books: Charles Sanders Peirce and a Religious Metaphysics of Nature (Lexington Books, 2011) and, as co-editor, Essays in Contemporary American Philosophy of Religion (set to appear 2013).

Regarding hobbies and interests, you'll often find me enjoying "the great outdoors."  I especially enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, and nature photography.  I also enjoy reading quite abit and am a voracious reader.  It is not uncommon for me to read at least two to three books per week if I can. Other than enjoying nature, one of my favorite things to do is spend time reading in coffee shops.

Please feel free to have a look around my website and thanks for stopping by.
