Mobile Desktop Malakoff 2.0
Mobile desktop for beginners in computing 2008 | Team project | Scholarship context
The aim of this project was to create the interface of a mobile desktop on USB stick containing free applications. The interface had to be evolutive and adapted to an heterogeneous population. So our idea was to keep it simple and to let the interface adapt
to the person using it. First, you have to configure your desktop : choose your language,
accessibility options, your level in computing (begginer, intermediate or expert), the colors you want and so on. After that, you can access apps, useful links and tutorials very easily by a drop up/down system using vertical space.. Colors, words, information architecture, icon sizes and tool tips were chosen carefully in order
to help people memorize easily the interface elements and interact pleasurely with the system.
NB
This project was realized with two other students : Elise MARTINET and Céline LE MARC, in partnership with Carra Consulting company, Médiagraph association and Alliance libre consortium.
Our project was selected by Carra Consulting to be prototyped.
