J. G. Staufer guitar 1829

                                       This guitar is a copy of a Johann Georg Staufer of Vienna, Legnani model, 1829.  The original is in the Edinburgh University Collection of Historic Musical Instruments.


The sound board is of Alpine Spruce.  The back and sides are of solid flamed sycamore. The neck and head stock is of sycamore, then ebonised. The bridge is of ebony.  It has an adjustable neck and six-a-side mechanical tuners.
